Symposium 2011

By: Anela Chow

This year Aka'ula School will have our symposium on December 12, 2011. We are studying

environmental issues near the shoreline. Some of the issues we are studying right now are mangroves, fishponds, sand erosion, water quality at the wharf, etc.

"I can't wait!!" says Anela. "This year is going to be awesome."

Pakalana said, I can't wait to see who gets the P.R.I.S.M award, and I really want to see the results of people's issues.

"I like the issue that I'm working on. It is cool," Dallas said. KB thinks that issues class is fun because some of the activities are exciting.

"So far I like issues because it is something new that I'm learning" said Yasmin. Decker likes issues class because he has a good group to work with.
