AKA`ULA NEWSLETTER: WEEK OF OCTOBER 17, 2011

Here's a few articles from the latest newsletter. To read the entire newsletter or to access previous newsletters go to www.akaulaschool.org

“Make A” Lunch: Congratulations to Pakalana N., Yasemin S., and Summer M. who received straight A’s in all of their core classes and earned 3’s or 4’s on their value scores for the first quarter. As result they will soon be enjoying a “Make A” lunch at Coffee’s of Hawaii.

Second Saturday Market: Mahalo to the Benes, Griep, and the Kaai ohana who assisted at our Second Saturday Market for October. Pumpkin rolls were presold at that event and will be available for pick up at our next event on November 12. If you would like to preorder pumpkin rolls, contact Dara at dara@wave.hicv.net.

Campus Beautification: Mahalo goes out to Kori-Lee D., Pakalana and Talia N., who assisted with campus beautification over the break. They spent the morning pulling weeds, planting grass on our outdoor stage, cleaning out the lauae beds, helping rearrange the classroom setup and enjoyed lunch at Coffee’s of Hawaii.

Floors Waxed: A special Mahalo to the Kaai Ohana who sacrificed one of their Sundays to come in and wax our classroom floors.
